    Excursions on New Years Day 01/01/09 - Ochos Rios

    Does anybody know if there will be excursions available in Ochos Rios on New Years day ? I've heard yes, maybe and no.  I would really like to know for sure.  We will be on the Freedom for the Holiday cruise.   12/28/08  -  01/03/09

    I checked today and the Carnival website still does not show any shore excursions for Ochos Rios on New Year's Day.  Can anyone provide insight into what is going to be available?

    We were in San Juan a couple of years ago for New Years day and there was absolutely nothing open. Even the casino's didn't open until 4:00 in the afternoon and the posted time was 10:00. Everyone was hung over from the celebration, I would guess it would be the same in Jamaica.

    I was wondering the same thing for the last 2 months....Finally last Friday they opened up excursions for ocho rios.  We booked the bobsled/chairlift/canopy tour.  I heard it was new and fun......Will let you know.
