    Changing from Legend to Dream...

Hi everyone - I'm already booked on the Legend for the Western Caribbean (Grand Cayman, Roatan Island, Belize & Cozumel) for April 2010.

Can any of you who have sailed the Western Caribbean tell me if Costa Maya and Nassau or worth changing to from Grand Cayman and Roatan Island.  I've wanted to sail the Dream since I first heard about it to.  I've only sailed once to Alaska on the Spirit so I'm fairly new at all of this.

I'm already planning on switching to the Dream on Wednesday when my travel agent opens.  Thanks  Paradise

    hello

i think it is worth switching.  to me all the ports are nice so i am happy just being on the ship going to the different beaches in the caribbean.

We too are on the April 4th 2010 legend cruise but may also change to cruise on Dream or we may book an additional cruise on Dream. You can never take to many cruises.

We did decide not to switch as two of the ports on the Legend cruise we have not been to and would like to see. We will probably book an Eastern Caribbean cruise on Dream later.

Re: Changing from Legend to Dream...

Hi Pete, I've decided not to switch either - I just saw the new itinerary for the Dream.  The only change is they go to Roatan Island instead of Bahamas and I'm not changing ships for the difference of one port.  I love the Spirit class - very easy to negotiate for me (partially disabled) and I'm also thinking of the time in Alaska it took me 45 minutes to get off at Skagway ith 2100 people - I can't imagine how long it will take with 3600 people trying to get off all at the same time.

I'm really disappointed in the same itinerary - unless - they arealso taking over the Legend too.   I can't see 2 ships doing the same routing????

I've been trying to rack my little brain why they put such a big ship on the Caribbean route - we already know its taking over from the Glory.  I'm wondering out loud if t will eventualy take over the Legend route too?????  Any thoughts?

Re: Changing from Legend to Dream...

Hey Cruising Granny, Actually, Carnival has a bunch of ships doing a very similar itinerary as the Glory, Dream, and Legend. There are to many ships not to have several doing almost the same cruise. I guess it is good so many what to cruise. We did not have a problem with crowds on Carnival Freedom, but we also did not tender on that cruise. Freedom is our favorite ship although I really enjoyed sailing on both the Holiday and Celebration which were probably 2 and 3 because of fewer people and better deck space to hang out. I am an odd one who prefers sea days to port days. I would love a seven day cruise with two port days.
