How do I insert an image into a post. I clicked on the "Insert/Edit Image" icon and it askes me for a URL. I copied and pasted the address of the PIC I wanted to insert into the post but it didn't show. I copied & pasted 1st the folder it's in then the file itself behind it (i.e. C:\mydocuments\mypictures\image_0001.jpg") and it didn't work. Would be alot easier if the insert/search option had a "Browse" icon to search your computer for image files.

The picture must be uploaded online somewhere in order to use the URL. If you want to keep track of your photos, go to photobucket.com, create a free account, and upload your photos there. There are other sites too like flickr and others. If you don't need to keep track of your photos online, you can just upload it to imageshack.us, which is what I use. Copy the direct link to the photo (will end in .jpg or something like that, not a number/letter combination), and paste that into the URL field. This will display your photo.

See Dave, that's what I don't get....Why doesn't the program allow you to "Browse" your computer for .jpg's? Than upload them? It would be alot easier to upload a pic DIRECTLY from my computer than through a "LINK" it to a website to upload it!!!

Someone from Carnival would have to answer why that isn't an option. My guess would be because the photo would then have to be uploaded (saved) on their servers, and that might use a lot of space/bandwidth, so they just did without direct uploads. Or it could be that the software isn't capable of doing this. We'll have to see what Carnival has to say.

To insert an image into a post or into your CC profile, you need a 3rd party site that will create the correct formatted HTML codes for you

I use photobucket--> http://photobucket.com/

to get a Free account all you need is a valid Email address

To add an image to your CC Profile, use the "HTML" code under the image that you have uploaded to your album

To add an Image to a posted message, use the "IMG" code under the image

Just click on the "Join Now" button when the page fully loads, then follow the instructions that they provide

If you are talking about just inserting a picture in this area....(ie: what I have done below)

I just copy the picture and paste it right into the post here. If you are talking about a cruise countdown or something that you want in you profile to come up everytime you make a post then you need to follow Tom's instructions. Hope this helps!

It is the Legend and we were docked downtown (Punta Langosta Pier) Cozumel. 

Hmm, when you reply to a post, click on the tab at the top that says "options" then click add/update.  Another window will open up that allows you to either "browse" to upload a picture from your computer OR insert a URL link.  So, you DO NOT need to first put them into a photobucket account - just insert them directly from your files.

Yup, totally understand.  Now, if they'd just make it so we don't have to shrink the photos down to 64 kb first!

I have inserted a couple of images into threads today and they are put in there twice.

I use photbucket and copy the img code. Why are they inserted twice?

I guess I will try to copy and paste from photobucket next time
