    State room location

    Hello

I have a question for any experienced cruisers. This is my first cruise and I just got our stateroom information. We are R248. I see that it's in the very very back (last room) of the ship of the lowest level. I have a bad feeling that it's not the best location. I knew I was going to get what I paid for but this makes me a little nervous. What can I expect? Will it be noisy, will I feel alot of motion? \

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Kat

I have heard that you mainly feel vibration, not alot of noise, and mostly when the ship is traveling slowly, like when you're entering or leaving a port.
I've also heard that motion is worse towards the front of the ship vs. the back. Check out www.seauonboard.com, there's some info on various rooms and areas of the ships.
Btw, I noticed your clock... Girl Scout cruise? I'm a GS leader, and we sure never got to cruise. Camp, yes, but cruising... hmmmm.... maybe something to plan for :D

    Hi Wubbie

Thanks for the website. It will come in handy. Our cruise is right around the corner and I'm not ready yet.

Yes, it is a girl scout cruise. I have 5 girl scouts in my troop and 3 are very active and so are the moms (one of course is me and I'm the leader). My girls are 15 and they wanted to take a big trip so we are flying into Atlanta on the 17th and then on to Savannah and down to Port Canaveral for our cruise. We have been working hard for 2 years for this trip. They definitely deserve this and so do us moms. It's kind of a mother/daughter trip. We've been together as a troop for 10 years and these two other moms have been with me all the way. We're going to have a great time.

    Thanks again and happy cruising.

Stopping at Daisy Low house in Savannah, huh? :D
I went there as a years ago as a Senior, it was very nice.
I'm thinking that maybe we'll save for a cruise instead of going to Mammoth Cave again :)

Have a great time on the cruise!!!!
