It was suggested that we obsess together about a mythical ship, on a mythical cruise.  The name of the ship... The Obsession.  (we all obsess over our cruises... so we can do that for this one, also)  Where shall we cruise to?  Which ports to visit?  What sort of entertainment can we have?  Who will Captain our ship?  Do we have jammies and bloody mary's on the Lido deck in the morning?  We can even design our ship, the Obsession!  (can't forget the MONKEYHEAD bar! - jungle themed?)

Let's have some fun planning our delusional cruise to.... ????  It may be good for pre-cruise excitement - and definately help the PCD - Post Cruise Depression!

So Lets pick an Itinerary, choose the ports, load up the RUM, get ready to set sail and have FUN

I do have a cruise in mind, but lets see what everyone comes up with

After All this Is A Fantasy Cruise

Aye, Aye, to the Obsession.  Around the World Cruise, Yes, MonkeyHead Bar, Yes, Jammies and Bloody Marys or maybe even Mimosas!!! Yes.  Cruise Director, Karan, Yes, Captain, Elk Ranger, Yes.  Retirement, Yes.....A shop onboard with nothing but good books to read...clubs onboard with every theme of music you could imagine playing nightly, Bang Bang Shrimp on the menu for appetizers, yes! (we have those at Bonefish here in Bama)  Calm seas always...Perfect Weather...Alfresco Dining on the outer decks of the ship other than the Lido deck...Real live palm trees onboard the ship...hammocks between these real live palm trees. Big Screen  Outdoor Theatre with nightly movie presentations....Every cabin a balcony room.   The NeverEnding Cruise.  Oh well, call me delusional too.

I'm on board! Around the world would be great, can we have suites instead of "little" rooms with a balcony? Margaritta's and mexican food whenever we want. Colypso music, and slushy drinks would be good. Oh yeah, I'm ready!!!

Good Morning, Cruisers!  And welcome to the newest ship in the mind... THE Obsession!  I am your CD, Gnomelady aka Karan and behalf of our Captain ElkRanger - aka Tom, we want to welcome you to the cruise we have all obsessed over!

She is a wonderful ship - yes, nothing but suites, with bath tubs and huge balconies... Oh, on this cruise, even the drinks are included with our price - and NO fuel sur charge was added!  Woo Hoo!  You will notice the aft Lido pool has now been made a beach - sand and surf (for those who like waves, since Captain ElkRanger has promised NOTHING but smooth waters for sailing) palm trees and hammocks - no hammock hogging, now, there are more than enough to go around!  When your monkeyhead is empty, just call one of our 'beach boys' or 'beach girls' to get a new one... the sun will be shining so PLEASE don't forget your sun screen!

Captain Tom will have a very informal reception at The Beach - Rum will flow freely!  After that, we can partake of the beach BBQ for dinner!  There will be music and dancing, wine, women (and men) and song to entertain you all night!  So enjoy your first day on the Obsession and let me know what we can do to make your time with us more enjoyable!

This weekend?  We will be partying Memorial Day style - and I want to thank all the current service members as well as the Veterans that are cruisin' with us for their service to our country.  I know that Freedom does not come free, and I for one, love my country and the freedoms that people like you have served to preserve for us all!

Cheers to our Captain and Cruise Director!

We are humbly submitting a request for ports of call at Rome, Italy; Barcelona, Spain & Mallorca, Spain.  Kind of a modification of Splendor's itinerary.  Could someone direct me to the spa for a massage please?  I believe someone said it was on an upper deck in the warm breeze. :) 

Karan, you are the best CD ever!!  I love the beach idea and the BBQ by the pool!!  Count us in--we would love to go on the Obsession with all of the Monkeyhead Wasters!!  And in a suite---awesome!!  I know that we will be in great hands with Tom as our capitan!!  I think we should all be able to get free massages by the pool--maybe even by one of the "pool boys" or girls--LOL!!  Can't wait to cruise around the world on the Obsession!!

The captain has set a course for the Mediterranean Sea on our around the world cruise - our first port of call will be Rome - I will catch up with you later on excursions - but I know my favorite will bring out the history buff in me and I'll be looking at the ruins!

Yes, the spa is up on the sky deck - open to the sun and quiet and calming as only a frist class spa can be... come and be pampered all day - free of charge, of course - a there is never a time constraint!  So have a 3 hour message, if you want!  You may never be able to move again after - you'll be soooo relaxed, but enjoy!

Karan,  Don't forget, the weather will be perfect everyday so the excursions will never be cancelled.  Then, after a wonderful day on shore, come back to our wonderful suites, swim or soak in a "kid" free pool and hot tub area.  Fill up the monkey heads and eventually crawl to our suite since we will be on our lips from the drinks and sunshine.  HA HA !  Then start it all over again the next day!
