    Help! Underage Honeymooners

Hello All! I need help and I have not had much luck in other places. I am 20 and my fiance is 19, my parents are wanting to send us on a 5 day cruise to the Caribbean for our honeymoon and I am concerned that we will not be able to board the cruise ship. Does anyone know what exactly "proof of marriage" is? We are getting married on a Friday at 6:00 and the cruise leaves that Saturday at 4:00 so we would not be able to get our marriage license certified in that amount of time. Is the license (without it being recorded) sufficient? Please help, June 27th is fast approaching! Thank you!

Call your PVP or Travel Agent and make sure you ask everyone involved for follow up e-mails to confirm the contents of your conversations.  This way, there can be no issues of "he said - she said" if a problem should arise at embarkation.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I too am getting married in December and my fiance and I will both be 20. We are going on a cruise for our honeymoon too, and i was told to bring the marriage certificate. I wastold to bring proof of marriage, so i  just planning on bringing the uncertified original. So that should be fine. Let me know if a copy of the marriage certificate will do, and if you have any other suggestions when you get back. Good Luck :)

How old do you have to be to travel alone?

Guests are required to be 21 years old (on embarkation day) to travel. Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same stateroom by a parent or guardian 25 or older. The exceptions Carnival will make to this policy are:

Married minor couple - The booking must be documented that the couple is married. The couple must have proof of marriage at embarkation or they will be denied boarding without the benefit of a refund.

Domestic Partners/Same-Sex Union minor couple - The booking must be documented that the couple are legal Domestic Partners/Same-Sex Union.  The couple must have legal proof of partnership/union at embarkation or they will be denied boarding without the benefit of a refund.

Guest ages will be verified at embarkation. Guests not conforming to this policy will be denied boarding and assessed a 100% cancellation penalty. NO exceptions will be made at embarkation.

The Group policy is slightly different because of stricter group terms and conditions including mandatory chaperones, damage deposits and other considerations.
