Hello All! I need help and I have not had much luck in other places. I am 20 and my fiance is 19, my parents are wanting to send us on a 5 day cruise to the Caribbean for our honeymoon and I am concerned that we will not be able to board the cruise ship. Does anyone know what exactly "proof of marriage" is? We are getting married on a Friday at 6:00 and the cruise leaves that Saturday at 4:00 so we would not be able to get our marriage license certified in that amount of time. Is the license (without it being recorded) sufficient? Please help, June 27th is fast approaching! Thank you!

My son and daughter in law cruised for their honeymoon last year.  My daughter in law was only 20 when they went.  Just make sure that your reservations (air and cruise)are made in your maiden name as you won't have time to have your ID changed.  All they had to do was show their copy of their marriage license with all the signatures on it.  They did not have their certified copy back from the state yet either.

Make sure that Carnival knows that you will be a married couple when you make the reservations.
