    Clearing Customs on Hawaiian Cruise??

    Hi,

Can someone tell me the procedure for clearing US customs on our cruise from Vancouver, BC Canada to Hawaii?

As first time cruisers we are not sure what to expect.

Do we clear customs at the first port we stop at (Hilo, HI) or do they somehow do this before we sail from from Vancouver?

The ship stops at 5 islands in Hawaii. I assume we would have to be cleared before the last stop in Honolulu.

    Thanks

    Lloyd

I just got back from Hawaii on May 3rd.  The volcanic VOG was bad we didn't get to many sunny days - maybe the gas vent will have stopped by the time you get there.  Clearing customs on the ship was super easy and very very fast.  When you stop in Kona book the "Beach Boys Outrigger Canoe excursion" its $100/person but well worth the money.  The history, enthusiasm, view is great and was our favourite stop.

So, when was it that you cleared customs?

    Hi,

    The excursion sounds interesting?

Did you book it through Carnival??

Can you tell me more about this "VOG"??

I have never heard of this.

Did it affect you entire cruise?
