Just booked our family on Carnival Victory for April 2009.  It will be me, my husband and 2 children (son 9 and daughter 7).  My husband and I cruised once (1998) and it was on Carnival.  It was the Fascination and did almost the same itinerary.  We had an awesome time and it was our best vacation ever.  We are looking forward to sharing the experience with our children.

Anyone else booked for this cruise?

Carnival Victory - April 2009

I will be on that one with some friends and my 10 year old daughter!! This is our very first cruise and we are excited.  I was nervous (which I read you were too) at first because of some of the reviews, but I went to other cruise line reviews and they all had their share of bad reviews also.  Can't satisfy everyone I guess.  However, after hearing from all the loyal Carnival cruisers on this site, my concerns are pretty much out the window.  Where are you flying in from and are you arriving in San Juan early?  Still working on trying to get that countdown clock up!

We were booked on that cruise then they posted our work schedule and all of us had the week before Easter; not the week after Easter so we moved up our cruise by one week.  We're going on the April 5 cruise.  The ship sounds really good!  We were on the Glory two years ago and LOVED it!  I think the 6 ports are great!  All the guys in our group love the fact that they can get off the ship every day and do something different!

We are sailing April 12th! We are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and are going to renew our vows on the ship.  We have alot of family coming . . 8 cabins booked!!! We are so excited and can't wait until 2009!

If you all book with the same travel agent, with 8 cabins you can get a group discount.  If you didn't, check it out.  My son and dil just booked and it made for 8 cabins booked and we all got the discount.

I did call about the group discount but we all got military discounts and it was a better deal than the group one!

Only 270 days to go! Our family is booked, and we can't wait. We will be traveling with our 2 teen age daughters. This will be our 3rd cruise with the girls, and our 6th cruise for my husband and I. Our girls were close to the same age as yours the first time. They loved Camp Carnival, they kept begging to go back. My husband and I had so much alone time, it was heavenly. I tell everyone the best vacation with kids is a cruise. We choose this cruise for the Itinerary, a new port everyday. There is going to be so much to do and see.

we were on the Victory for April 12-19, 2009 and got the call last week that it was cancelled due to a full charter.  we were pretty upset about because we had 10 cabins of friends and family going and we were renewing our wedding vows (our 30th anniversary is April 14th).

I do realize they are a business and was able to sell out the whole ship, but that didn't really help those already planning that cruise - especially going to all those ports!

we were able to change our reservation to Carnival Splendor (which is their newest and largest ship) and they did honor our pricing from Victory so we are excited about the new cruise!
