    What to do in Ensenada

I'm not planning on a shore excursion in Ensenada.  Is there enough to do (shopping, restaurants, bars) within walking distance?

Shopping and food are not far from port, maybe  10-15 minute walk.  there are also taxi's right there to take you into town, I think about 2 dollars a person, just hold on tight!  The drinkers will go to Hussong's or Papas and Beer and on same street are many vendors.  Don't bother with the ship recommended shops.  OK to barter with vendors.  You don't even need to leave port to do  shopping.  Right off the ship is a small mall with everthing from crafts to medications.  If you did an excursion, they will usually drop people off in shopping area after the excursion.  I did horseback riding and it was fun.  Any specific questions about shopping?

Yes, there is tons to do without booking excursions.  When you get off the ship there are taxis and buses that will take you into town for a couple of bucks.  Some people even walk.  You could spend all day shopping, eating and drinking!  There are so many fun bars and restaurants to go to.  You will see them.  The taxi drivers will also tell you where the hotspots are.  You will have a blast.  I am going again next month.  I have been going to Ensenada since I was a kid.  I absolutely love it.  Have a great time.!
