    Estero Beach

Will be in Ensenada in August.  Hoping to spend the day at the beach instead of doing an excursion.  Read somewhere that you could take a cab to the Estero Beach Resort and hang out there.  Has anyone been before?  Is the resort okay with cruise ship visitors using their facilities?  Or maybe there is a day use fee.  I can't seem to connect with the resort's website.  Any info about this beach or others in Ensenada would be welcome.  P.S. It will be my husband and I as well as my mother and 13 year old son.  Thanks!

    Re: Estero Beach

Yes, the cabs are waiting right outside the ship.  Estero beach is very nearby.  No problem using their facilities.  People in Ensenada are extremely accomodating.  Your cab driver will definitely be able to help you out and tell you where to go!  Have a fun time.

    Re: Estero Beach

I emailed the addy on their website and got a very quick reply. They do have a day pass. it is $10 / person and it gives you access the restaurant and beach access etc.

We are going July 25th. I'm thinking we might see about renting mini jeeps in town and then riding them out to Estero. I am also going to email them and see if there is a shuttle from the  port to Estero. I'll let you know if I find out.

    Teri

We sail on July 11 and I was thrilled to see this post.  Could you please pass along the website you found so I can research it as well.  This is exactly what I wanted to do for part of the day as well.

    Thanks

Does anyone know that when you pay to use their pool/beach/restaurant.

Can you also pay to use their spa for a message?

    Re: Estero Beach

Here is what Estero Beach told me.

In order to for your group to have full access to our facilities
    including
the pool, you will need to pay a small fee of $10dlls per person.

The best way to get to our Hotel is to take a taxi and I will recommend
    you
two options.  The first option is to take a van from cruise ship area.
      The
vans there charge $10dlls per person.  The second option is to go
    across the
street into the downtown tourist section (where all of the shopping is
located) and take a taxi from there.  This will be $15dlls for the taxi

ride.  You may need 2 taxis.  Please note that these prices are for
    each way
(both to Estero and back to the cruise ship).

If you have any other questions or need any additional information,
    please
do not hesitate to contact me.

    Sincerely,

    Happy Sailing
    Roe
