    Someone Help with Information :(

It's my first time cruising and I'll be at St.Thomas from 9am to 8pm

Can someone suggest in 11 hrs what are the things I can do, so that I cover the best part of St.Thomas. Remember we are young couple and would love to have our best time of life. Please help with information about excursions too. Should I book some excursions or go on my own? If book my own excursion whom do you recommend to be the best?

Please help. I have just 20 days left to decide :(

Just for the view, I would suggest riding the cable cars up to Paradise Point.  It's right across from the pier and can be done as an "after excursion" thing on your own.  There's a bar and restaurant up there, souvenir shops, a nature trail, bungee jump and they have parrot shows periodically.  The cost is around $20 for the ride and $8 more for a bushwacker - their signature drink.

    Rubina,

I've been to St. Thomas many times but never on a cruise. The shopping is great! You can almost always get a deal expecially if you have cash and wait until the end of the day to buy something. We usually have lunch at one of the restaurants in town. The beaches are amazing! If you really want a treat take the ferry out of Red Hook to St. John. Not a lot of shopping there but you can get an open air taxi to take you to some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Good luck! Brenda

We were in St.Thomas twice while cruising.  I would check out the shopping in town.  They have some good prices on jewelry, perfumes and many other things.  Blue Beard's castle is another place you could check out.  I absolutely wouldn't miss Megan's Bay.  It is voted one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches and it is!  Take the tram ride up at Paradise Point.  The views are breath taking from way up there!  There is food and beverage and a little shopping there as well.  St. Thomas is one of our favorite destinations.

Hey thanks everyone. I finally deceided to book the Sunny travel tour. I believe they are really good.  They entertain well and charge $25 for shopping, sightseeing & a 2 hrs at Sapphire beach. Not a bad option for newbies like us.

Thanks everyone. If you have more tips for me, please feel free to post here...

You should reconsider and go to St. Johns, then off to Trunk Bay.  You can take an excursion from the ship, its well worth it.   Trunk Bay is a National Park and you can go scuba diving or snorkeling there along an underwater trail.  Its absoluteloy beautiful.

I really like the idea of this excursion, but what worries me is that is said that if there are winds, then the snorkeling portion of the excursion may be cancelled, and I don't want to pay the fee for my family and I just to sit on the beach. [:'(]  When you went there was no problem with off-shore currents?

Cool We took the Catamaran Snorkel Excursion to St Johns and it was great. The weather was a little ugly when we arrived in St Thomas and while we crossed to St Johns, but cleared right as we entered the water.

Great day snorkeling and on the beach. Good crossing back to St Thomas, then the bottom fell out on the bus ride back to the ship.Big Smile Did not get to go shopping.

Good friends of mine have reccommended this local excursion. I've met the owner and he is very nice.

I will try this one next time.

The water is great, you really to need to get to one of the beaches and snorkel or swim.
