My family will be on this cruise as well.  I took this exact cruise last year. It's going to be wonderful 

any kids in the family???  My twin daughters will be on this cruise, they are 15.  I am hoping there will be some kids their age even though they should be in school ! ! ! !  

No kids for us, this is the cruise for mommy and daddy to be husband and wife, with no little people.

Cruiser i saw your going parasailing in St Thomas, are you doing the excursion from the ship, or just finding somewhere once you get there? the wife and i are planning on giving it a try and looking at a few companies to book with so it's all paid and reserved

We booked our parasailing directly through Carnival...we decided that that would be best so that if something happened then we were covered by Carnival...it was only $79 per person...I don't think that that was too bad.

That's not bad. I think we are doing a jetski, snorkell, parasail package from one of the operators on the island. It's going to be a little more expensive, but it's all about having a blast and loving vacation. Then we get back and it's back to the real world. No chocolate on the bed, no one to make the bed and cook all the food, and actually having to pay for things. I hate that whole getting back thing.

My nephew, age 14, will be on the cruise. Look up the word "Shy" in the dictionary... that's him right there.  He's going to need a lot of encouragement. I hope they will find teen activities.

My bf and i are also going to be on the cruise sept 14th. This will be both of ours first cruise can not wait

My wife and I (first time cruisers) will also be on this cruise. I thought we might have to cancel due to my knee surgery on 7/14. However, seem to be recovering nicely and should be able to make it. Reading these posts has provided a lot of valuable information for first time cruisers and I would like to thank everyone that has taken the time to share their experiences.Looking forward to meeting a lot of wonderful people, making new friends and having a great time!

You are going to have the time of your lives. It is so much fun and at the same time it is sooo relaxing. I love the sea days because there is no hustle and bustle to get to different ports. Hope you have a great time.

Thanks for the reply and kind words. I am sure we will enjoy it. We will aslo be celebrating our 38th. Anniversary. I believe we are booked on the Upper Deck (Deck 5) w/balcony. Can you advise if this is a good catergory on the ship.

 We are traveling on Sept 14th (my first cruise). One married couple and 2 single guys. I know there are a lot of families aboard - how about some thirty something nite-owls that like to party and meet new people?
