Hey hunnie!  Thanks for allowing me to be on your post!  As far as the weather goes, it is hurricane season so there is a chance that you may encounter one.  The average temp for Ocho Rios is 75-85 degrees at all times.  And Grand Cayman is slightly warmer.  You will probably encounter rain at some point.  If there happens to be a hurricane in the ship's path, it will be rerouted.  Here is some info from the cruisecritic website:

"Although hurricanes are generally unpredictable, conventional wisdom has dictated that peak season varies by geography. In the Eastern Caribbean and along the U.S. East Coast, the season tends to be busiest between mid-August and mid-September. In the Western Caribbean, it picks up in mid-September and stretches into early November."

So this says that we are at the very beginning of the hurricane season in the western caribbean.  Hopefully if the stars are aligned properly, we will miss the hurricanes altogether.  I hope this answers your question.  Happy cruising!  Maybe I'll see you in passing as you are getting off the ship and I am getting on!

We are on Destiny for 9/21 cruise. DH, myself and my younger sister - inside cabins this time due to $$$ of sis traveling alone. We are in the 50-60 age group. So glad Faye didn't do much damage. Can't wait for the trip and this is our 8th cruise on Carnival. Glad to see so many going ... We will be celebrating DH's BD on the ship.

Hello all!  It's my first time posting here, but I'm a CruiseCritic regular.  My fiance and I will be onboard on 9/21 celebrating our honeymoon.  It will be our third cruise and we can't wait!!  Our first cruise was with Carnival, then we gave NCL a try and now we're back to Carnival.  We both thought the atmosphere was a lot more our speed with Carnival.  We're also bringing along one of my bridesmaids and her husband.  I've found "the more, the merrier" is a great philosophy when it comes to cruising!  They are first timers and the anticipation is killing them. 

Question: Does anyone know if the balcony dividers are removable on Destiny?  I have heard that they are, but I'm not sure.  We are in adjoining balconies and thought it would be really cool if we could open it up and have one big balcony.

One more thing....someone earlier mentioned a meet & greet.  I think that's a great idea since it seems like the role call is so active.  Any suggestions as to where and when?

my name is mary and my husband jaime and i will be on this cruise also. to your question about the dividers opening yes they do, you have to ask your room steward to open it for you. we did when our friends went a cruise with us and we had rooms side by side. this is our 10th cruise with carnival. our next one is with ncl a cruise to hawaii.

Hi y'all !! Michael is originally from Iowa, I'm originally from London, UK. We settled in Acworth, GA, about 2 years ago.

We're both retired..... living the high life (not!!) but enjoying travelling and cruising. We went to Savannah earlier in the year.... it's a lovely part of Georgia!

We're looking forward to meeting everybody on the cruise.... hope we can all arrange to meet up!!

 My family and friends are going on the cruise. This is my 3rd, my husband's 2nd, my kids 1st, my mother's 2nd. Our other friends and family that are coming, this is there 1st. I LOVE Cruising and I am trying to get everyone else hooked as well. We are all coming from the Pittsburgh, PA area (GO STEELERS!!!!) I hope that we have nice weather and the everyone enjoys themselves! We are flying in Saturday afternoon so that we can get a taste of South Beach before we head off on our cruise!
