    Pools & Adult Area

I have seen a few places mentioned that there is an adult deck area with a hot tub.  what does "adult area" mean?  no kids?  how big is this area? how quiet?  and does it get crowded?

    Re: Pools & Adult Area

Some times adult area doesn't mean anything as parents let their kids run amok and the kids will get into the adult only pool and hot tub. But this is not the norm. Most of the time there are people in the hot tub, it generally will hold 8. Most of the time there are less than that and some ships have 2 hot tubs in the adult area. If kids are in tell them to leave or wait til they're gone.

    Re: Pools & Adult Area

I hope my curise on may 12th is much better than last time with the kids. I agree, the parents do let there kids run amok!!!!. (NOT THAT I HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST KIDS I HAVE 7 GRANDCHILDREN) I tried the entire crusie last time  (went in March) and was unable to get in the hot tub!!, it was filled with little kids in the adult area on the aft of the ship. "suppose to be for the adults." all the time. I tried every hot tub on the ship! I am hoping May is a better time. Can't wait to leave 1 weeks and 5 days and counting down!!!!!

We'll be sailing on the Inspiration in a few weeks and I'm excited for the adults only serenity area; a whole section on deck separated from the rest with 2 hot tubs. I will have no problem asking parents to get their kids out of this area.

We are going on the fantasy. Unfortunately the serenity area is not completed yet on the fantasy!!. I think if the same thing happens I may have to ask security to take care of it!!

I have 3 children myself and I love them, but I am looking so forward to my ADULT ONLY time.  If kids should happen to be around... who can we report this to?  I'm sailing out on the Conquest May 11th.

    Thanks.

Does the Sensation offer the adult only section?

I've never cruised with Carnival and I'm hoping there is one. I cruised another line in 2005 and they offered an adult only section and every time anybody under the age of 18 entered, they were swiftly kicked out. I'm hoping this is the same on Carnival.

It has been my experience that Carnival does a poor job of policing the adults-only pool on spa areas on their ships that have them. I think the areas need bigger signs, and parents also need to take responsibility and make sure their kids are in the kids areas.

    Re: Pools & Adult Area

From what I've experienced/heard, Carnival does indeed do a poor job regulating the adults only sections without provokation. They won't really do anything unless you ask them, at which point they have no problem telling children to leave. Seems like it would make more sense to just police it to begin with, but oh well. If there are kids in these areas, just ask a staff member and they should tell them to leave.

And parents policing their own children? I'm pretty sure that's just an urban legend....

    Re: Pools & Adult Area

Carnival does NOT enforce this.  But I blame the parents whom dont give a damn about others and/or are too cheap to have the staff babysit as is offered.  How selfish is it to drag your kids to sit with you in the adults area (as small as it is) when most of the pool and deck areas are for kids/familes/etc?

I, too, will not have a problem asking security to remove the children from the adult area. Yes

I do not know what ship you are talking about.. The Victory and Valor aft pools and hot tubs are for adults only.  Meaning no kids in either
