If you have not experienced great service on other cruise lines such as Royal Carribean or Norweigan, than you do not know what you're missing. The Carnival Victory is outdated considering it was refurbished in 2005. The Main Atrium is a quarter of the size of other cruises I've been on.
Victory problems:
No refridgerator in room-Passenger with insulin bottles had to ask for medicine to be kept cold.
Wine steward visited on first day and never bothered to ask again. When we asked for a beverage she acted if we were new to the ship.
Activities and programs were always beginning late and running to another programs time. As a matter of fact, the majority of the activities took place while we were at port-I understand the need to entertain those who remain on the ship but the majority of the ship leaves to see the port attractions.
Prizes for games suck-Ship on a stick and wine bottles
Cruise Director was great (Malcolm Burns) his assistant was non-existent.
No midnight buffets or feasts
Messages stating we were arriving or leaving ports was done on 2 or the 7 days.
Hair found on the bed
Decoration is terrible-Can only go across the ship on level 5, 9-Confusing for most passengers on the ship.
2 Hours to board at one port in Boston-No control
Shows and hired acts were only OK-Norweigan booked better acts.
Would not refer or book again on the Victory-Maybe another ship with Carnival
