I was just assigned a cabin assignment on the Pride and was wondering if anybody has experienced this cabin. it is 4a #1126. It looks like it might be right below the starry night dance club. I am just wanting to know if the club will be to loud down there. It is our 10th wedding anniversary and we have lots plan for shore excursions and I want to make sure we can get enough sleep. I might upgrade if somebody says it is loud. Thanks to anybody that knows. Michelle

I stayed in 1154 on the Legend (sister ship to Pride) and yes, you could hear the nightclub upstairs...I only know because I had gone to my room between sets and when they started back up I could hear them. I can't say it bothered me because my friends where the band playing in the Lounge and that's where I spent every night. They did get a lot of noise complaints... (I'm not sure why Carnival didn't insulate the floors a little better knowing there were staterooms below the lounge) and where told to keep it down. Now my friends are playing on the Pride, but not in the Starry Night Lounge, they are in the Butterflies Lounge and only play until midnight. I just called my friends on the Pride and asked them what is going on in the Starry Night Lounge and he said that is where they do Karaoke, so it probably doesn't go to late. Hope this helps!!

   I am looking forward to seeing the band in the butterflies lounge. I would like to know if you have been on the empress deck before and if you liked that one over the riviera deck. Have you ever been given a room assignment under a guarantee and then later been upgraded to a different cabin before the cruise. Like I said I just want to make sure we can get sleep. As for the band in the Butterflies Lounge, they are great. They are called Music Network and they do classic 60's, 70's & 80's music, along with some others thrown in. If you like music from Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Journey, Def Leppard, Nickelback, Jimmy Buffett...then you'll enjoy them. Tell the boys Janann says hi.

Now for the room, on the Spirit Class ships, I've only been on the Legend and had room Riviera 1154 and I thought it was a great room. I have done a guarantee room before, but I did't get a room assignment until I got to the cruise port to check in. All the other rooms I have selected when I booked. I'm a travel agent and as far as I know, once they assign you a room number, it's not likely that it will change. Usually if you are going to be upgraded, they do that when they give you your room assignment. I don't think you'll have a lot of trouble sleeping. I know my friends played until 1 or 1:30am on other ships, but on this ship, they only play until midnight. As for the Karaoke I can't imagine that going really late into the night and once that is done, they close that lounge down so there wouldn't be anything going on it there. 

I have been on the Empress deck on other ships and I love that deck also. It's middle of the ship so it's a great place to be. Either way, I think you are going to have a fabulous time on your cruise! Enjoy!

   I enjoyed the band on the Pride. The only issue was that they moved the band to the starry nights club and the dance floor was right over cabin 1126. Luckily they did not go very late at night. Thank you for all of the advice. Michelle

I'm glad you enjoyed the band. Yeah, they were in the lounge above our room on the Legend, which is the same lounge as the Starry Night on the Pride. On the Legend they would play until 1pm or so and sometimes would get lots of complaints. I'm not sure why Carnival didn't insulate between those floors better, especially knowing they would have bands and dancing in there. I hope you loved your cruise! I'm counting down until mine... just a couple more months.
