Tonia I think you're right it just seems to me you and me on here.  My brother in law started another roll call for 10/27, it's going by the wayside quickly!  I think I'll send him an email and tell him he better get on here and start chatting!

    Talk to you later

I was so close to an OBC, but I didn't get it.  The inside guarantee price went down to $279 pp, and I paid $299 so I thought whoo hoo $20, but because I didn't pay the fuel surcharge, it would be added now, so the cost would be higher.  Oh well, it didn't hurt to ask.

    Sharon..

When did you book your cruise??? To me no matter fuel charge or not they should give the OBC if the price went down. But worth the try. You got your tickets cheap we are past guest still paid $350not complaining at all i was toked at that price.

    Re: 10/27/08

I booked our cruise June 07, when we started our countdown clock was over 500 days.  I'd read before that if your price goes down and you booked before the fuel surcharge they added the fuel charge.  Oh well, it doesn't hurt to ask.

You know when we booked our first cruise in 06, it was funny we saw a Carnival commercial and it showed the website, so just out of curiosity I checked out the website.  We were alway under the impression that a cruise would cost 10's of thousands of dollars and something we could never do.  When I saw the prices, I was shocked the first price I saw was a 3 or 4 day to the Bahamas and it was like $259, I remember hollering to David, oh my gosh, a cruise is doable!  We then ended up booking on the Conquest and it was $529.  And I was so ignorant about cruising when I was on the phone booking, I asked my PVP if we were allowed to go off the ship at the ports if we didn't pay for an excursion!

My older son Matt is excited about the food, he's tall and skinny but he can put away the food.  Skott wants to stay in the pool.

I took today off from work so I could clean our carpets, there's a swell use of a vacation day. Ha Ha (not)  I'm taking a break now, I have Skott's bedroom left to do.

    Sharon,

I booked my cruise July 22 and paid 534.00 for an oceanview. Last week I saw that the price of our cruise had gone down and I called my TA and she called Carnival and they offered me either $190.00 of OBC or an upgrade to another deck. We took the upgrade and went from the Riviara to the Empress deck. You should call Carnival.  Hope to see you all soon!

I called Carnival last night and because the price difference was only $20, they would've charged us the fuel surcharge of $45 so we would've paid $25 pp more.  I was kind of expecting that, but had read it depended on the person you talked to, and I was hoping I would get one of the ones who didn't factor in the fuel surcharge.

Is everyone bringing a Halloween costume?  I've been searching and think I've found ours Fred & Wilma Flinstone!  I found it on craiglist, I love that place it's like a flea market without leaving your house!

Well I gotta start breakfast, oh for the days when we can just go to the lido deck to get breakfast!Smile

Well I got mine & David's costume, Skott has his, I don't know what to call his, he has a mask a black cape, and skull accessories, and I've got a watch on Ebay for a beer bottle costume for Matt.

Can you believe we're down to 3 weeks?

I believe they have a costume contest and for kids 12 and younger they go trick or treating on the ship!

Welcome Teresa, where are ya'll from?  What other ships have you been on?  This is mine & hubby David's 2nd cruise and our kids 1st.  Our first was on the Conquest.  It was such a good time.  And I know this one will be great also, how can it not when you have people doing everything for you!

Gotta get ready for work, ttyl

    Re: 10/27/08

My brother in law called Carnival on Saturday, they are getting $135 obc!  That's so cool.

So my camera decided to stop working, so I'm trying to find something affordable.

In 3 weeks we will be on the ship right now!!!
