There are 12 of us-6 siblings, 5 spouses and our 83 yr mother.  This is our second cruise as a family and we are looking forward to the Destiny.  Last yr we cruised on the Imagination to Cozumel and had loads of fun.  We are looking into excursions that our mother can participate.  Any ideas out there??

im on the same cruise. flying from baltimore, maryland with my husband and mother and law. this is my 3rd cruise i went on the carnival fasination last  march.

That's great.  Hope we can meet.  I can't find any excursion for the Cayman Islands that my 83 yo mother can do.   Are you doing an excursion in the Caymans??  Let me know.  I did find something and have booked it for Jamaica.  It's a 4 hr tour on a bus.  Mom can do that.

We're flying in from Columbus OH and should be in Miami at 11am.  This is also my 3rd cruise.  I've been on the Glory, Fascination and now the Destiny.  I've read some notes from other cruisers and they are not rating the Destiny very high.  I certainly hope we are not disappointed.

yea maybe we could meet. that would be intreasting. i have a couple excursions planned. in jamaica we'll be parasailing and snorkling. and a nothing thing were doing is just sitting on the beach and getting free food and drinks all day. its called bamboo beach club. i love to swim so this was really for me. well im sure grandma can enjoy to tour. tours are intreasting to me but i have nightmares of a bad driver taking us to "no manss land" so unless were driving our selves....I'll pass.

Yes i've read some of the review also. and i'll just have to see for myself. Nevertheless, nothing would prevent us from enjoyment!!

My wife and I are also flying in from baltimore we got a flight that morning with AAA It leaves balt at 630 and in miami at 9:05a way back were leaving at 12n and balt at 2:30 I have to work that night and dont have any vacation time I only work weekends  so we try to fit cruises with minamal weekend time . ANYway my name is Jaime and My wife is Mary .this will be our 10th cruise in last 3 years we love Carnival!! . we got the room with 75sqft balcony looking farward to Platinum perks. hope we meet you .my wife said she thinks she respondedto you also

cool. you all have really racked up the cruises in the last 3 years. i wish i could say the same. i usually take one a year. it seems like that may not be enough for us!! im not sure if i spoke with your wife but if shes cruising i'd love to meet her. i have booked my flight yet. curious about the cost though...do you know how much a round trip flight might cost us...? flying from the same ports...i though it would be cheaper to wait....i dont know. any advice. and which ship do you feel way the most enchanting?

sorry took so long to respond we booked our flight becouse we heard prices are going way up due  to gas prices. we only found the one flight that was non stop from balt. and the times were great. we paid 278.00 a piece. we booked through orbitz  Our favorite ship thusfar is the GLORY . But I think it all depends on the crew. take care only 112 days!!

Hi , My Wife & I are taking the same cruise! We are really looking forward to it! It is Only our second cruise ever! The first was with Carnival on the, Fascination, last June 2007. It was a Fantastic Voyage! Can't wait for this next one! Did not do any excursions on the First Cruise! Thinking about the Beach Club and Dunn's River Falls, one In Jamaica! Have not seen anything really interesting to do in, Grand Cayman, Yet! Hopefully you can find something really great for your Mother to do! I am sure she would, love all the entertainment on the ship, and to get all the quality time with her family! My wife and I would love to meet you folks while on board! We are from Savannah, Georgia. We, too will be on the boat these dates.   First post here in the forum, third time cruiser.  My wife and I went on the Sensation or Imagination (I can't remember) for our tenth anniversary, and this trip will be for our 15th anniversary!  Can't believe I'm already pumped about it to be posting here this early.  Anayway, I too have read some of the bad comments about the destiny and ports, but I have faith that it will be awesome because we'll make it awesome!  The boat has changed since we first booked, and I'm looking forward to being on a big ship like this.

We got our airline tix for free by getting off an overloaded plane in Puerto Rico after my wife's business celebration. (I DID NOT want to get off the plane, but you can see - we "compromised")   She sells insurance and I shoot fireworks, and the late summer is perfect timing for us to get away from the kids and the bills.
