Hi CarnivalCutie,  My husband and I are going to Alaska on the 28th! It will be our first trip to Alaska.  I'm very excited to be going.  We're going with a large group from the hospital that I work for so there will be quite a few people that I know going. Hope the airlines don't mess things up for us.

You will Love it!  We live in Georgia where are you from?  Some of the excursions book up fast, especially the Whale Quest in Juneau.  We have already booked our excurions, so you may want to check into this.  ALso, we have booked a day tour in WHiitier that sounds great.  It is through Major Marine Tours and has a prime rib buffet.  We are taking the train from ANchorage and they are arranging that for us too.  I am Sonja West and will be with my husband Kenny and my sister MIchelle and her husband Kenny  ---- no not the same Kenny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  How many in your group?

    Hello there!

My boyfriend & I will be on the May 28th cruise aboard the Spirit.  We are a mid 40's professional couple travelling without children and are hoping to meet some nice people on board.  We are flying up a few days beforehand to visit Fairbanks, Chena Hot Springs and Denali, then staying a few days afterward to tour Seattle. So far we plan to Kayak and take the Rail Tour, other than that - we're up in the air.  We were just down in Mexico (Cabo) in February and went whale watching, that was amazing and I'd highly recommend it for anyone who has not been yet.

My husband and I are in your age group , my sister and her husband are going too.  We are flyling into Anchorage on the 26th and then going to Whittier for a day cruise on the 28th.  We may stay in Vancouver a couple of days when we get back.  We are going on the rail tour in Skagway too.  Also, the even Whale Quest in Juneau is great and we are going again. I highly recommend it to everyone but it sells out fast.  We are doing a floatplane in Ketchikan and a city tour with Russion Dancers in Sitka.  I can't wait, Alaska is amazing.  I have not been to the west coast of Mexico yet, we are thinking about going in the fall.  Did you cruise?

    Hi there,

We are Kim & Steve.  We are flying into Anchorage on the 24th and staying overnight there.  We've reserved a car and are headed out to Fairbanks.  I lived in Fairbanks when I was a baby and don't remember it at all, so I am pretty excited about going back.  We have booked one night at Chena Hot Springs and then two more at Denali.  We've booked one tour of Denali and then one day of the shuttle bus so that we can go hiking there on our own.  How are you getting from Anchorage to Whittier?  We haven't decided which port we are doing what in (if that made sense - lol).  Steve got me an Alaskan travel book for cruisers for Christmas, and it has a walking tour map for each port.  Sitka actually seems like a great port to try that out, but of course, we'll see when we get there.  I am really excited for the rail trip too.    As for Mexico, we did not cruise.  We had actually been at an all inclusive resort in Cancun this time last April, and won a trip to another of their properties (in Los Cabos), so we just flew down for a long weekend (5 days).  While we were there, the whales were migrating and breeding apparently.  We could see them in the water from the plane, and if you sat out on the beach you could watch them spouting.  We did take a whale watching tour, and there were so many of them, I was just amazed.  It was truly a great trip.  As for cruising, I've done the Carribean a couple of times on Carnival and am really hyped up for Alaska.  Hopefully we will bump into you & your family!

My wife and I are taking our kids on this cruise.  We are from Georgia.  We are in our late 30's and have a 14 and 7 year old.  We took an Alaska cruise without kids 6 years ago on Holland America and are taking the kids now that they can appreciate it.  We have signed up to go kayaking in Sitka, the whale quest in Juneau, Dogsledding in Skagway and the lumberjack show in Ketchikan.  If this trip is half as wonderful as our last cruise in Alaska it will be outstanding.  Can't wait.

We are taking the train to Whittier on the day of the cruise.  We have signed up for a day cruise to see 10 glaciers, they will take care of our luggage  until we embark.  It includes a prime rib buffet------sounds good! We have booked all our excursions and we are so excited. 36 days till take off from Atlanta!!!!!  Hope to see you, we are staying in one of the cabins on the back of the ship on the Main deck!!!!!!!!!!  Sonja
