I am going to be cruising out of Tampa and booked a room at the Hilton Suites. They will let me leave my car there all week for a much better price than the port and provide me with a voucher to get to and from the port with a taxi. You could try them. There a million places to stay though, it really just depends on how much you want to pay for a room, and since you are not driving you have more options. Don't forget that most major hotels have a shuttle service and will pick you up and take you back to the airport. Save that taxi money for souveniers!!!

When we sailed from Tampa 2 years ago we stayed at the Embassy Suites and it was nice and clean. We were also able to catch a shuttle from there to the port. It was a nice 12 passenger van with plenty of room.

Springhill Suites by Marriot. Stayed there in Feb. Good pricing and location.  Rooms were very nice and spotless.  Place was like new.

Does anyone know which hotels will pick you up at the airport & next day take you to the cruise ship. Thanks, Lew & Freida

I don't know about pick up at the airport but the Embassy Suites in Tampa does have the shuttle service to the pier. You could call their 800 number and see if they pick up at the airport. We just caught a multi passenger van cab outside the baggage pick up area. We just wanted to get to the hotel quick with 6 teens with us.

We have made reservations at the Crowne Plaza. They will pick us up from the airport and take us to the cruise the terminal.  We stay at Crowne Plaza's alot and I'm sure we will enjoy this one also.

The Hampton Inn Rocky Point and the Holiday Inn Rocky Point have a "pre-cruise" package which includes your room (sleeps 4 in our case), shuttle from airport to hotel, breakfast the next morning, shuttle from hotel to pier, and a week later shuttle from pier to airport.  For our July cruise price was Hampton $150, Holiday $172 (both prices include 12% tax).  Thought these were good deals and a great savings in taxi fare.  The prices were less when calling the hotel directly, more online.  Hope this helps!

If anyone knows one that doesn't cost extra to get to the Port with there Shuttle let me know?

The transfer was included with the room price. We only had to pay the driver a tip for packing the luggage for 6. One of the girls even forgot her watch and the driver went back to the hotel and returned it to us before we got on the ship.

We're sailing the Legend in July and will be staying at the Tampa Marriott Waterside. it's about five minutes from the pier but unfortunatley don't have a shuttle. Was recommended to us by family in the area.
