Anyone else booked on this cruise?

me too!!  My first time ever cruising and first time to Europe. I've got a modified cabin booked as I will be using a wheelchair.  A little nervous about flying on 9-11 though.  I can't wait and am really looking forward to the trip.

Yeah, I was a little nervous too about the date of sailing.

We are actually flying out on 9/9 and arriving on 9/10. We booked  Pre and Post-Cruise packages. Have you booked any excursions? We've booked 3 so far.

You guys should join our Roll call board with the same title on cruisecritic.com. There are several other people on it with good info and suggestions.

We are sailing on 11/09/2008 too and we are comming from Malta. But we are flying to England on the  9th.  We haven't booked any excursions yet but we will take a couple.  We have a 6 year old girl and is very excited.  This is our second cruise on Carnival.

Hello Everyone!!  Can't wait 49 Days till we fly from Atlanta to Gatwick.  Have excursion booked already from the airport to Dover.  We are really good friends and decided we wanted to "Hold On Tight To Our Dreams".  Sailing and visiting the many ports of Europe is fantastic way to travel.  Other excursions have also been booked.  Done a lot of research on the internet since booking the trip in March.  Looking forward to meeting others traveling the highways, byways, and ports of call the Splendor has to offer.  As they say "Were Not In Kansas Anymore ToTo".  See you on board!!!!

We are Maltese and on that cuise as well. Our first time on Carnival but our 2nd cruise.Hopefully I shall book excursions this weekend as they are very convenient to see as much as you can in a day. Our only concern is Rome our last stop as we do not wish to drag suitcases with us throughout the day as we were going independently but now I think we shall take a 6 hour excursion plus airport transfer.

are there any other Maltesers travelling ???

 This is Charmaine (signed as Lola).  I was very happy to read your message. Where are you from?  We are from Mellieha and are in early 30's.  When we arrive in Rome we go straight to the airport cause we have an early afternoon flight.  When we booked the flights there was only one at 1400hrs.  But now they added another one later.  When we checked to change the flight it was going to be too expensive cause it would be nice to go and see the Vatican but there's nothing we can do now .  I don't know of any other Maltesers on this cruise.

Were traveling the same cruise and have arrangement made to stay over in Rome for the night.  Gives us extra time to check things out and visit all the neat places Rome has to offer. We are from the US and will be flying out on Wed about 12:00 PM.  I have done a lot of researching on the internet and found all kinds of good information.

I found some new info regarding the ports the Splendor will be visiting.  If you go into Cruise Critic - cruisecritic.com you can find a lot of info on each port.  What you need to do is bring up the web site - click on the ship - Splendor and then it will be up the schedule of ports of call - click or type in the name of the port and read what it has.  There is a lot of good information and a lot of ways you can do things on your own and now have to take an excursion.  Check it out!!  If I can help further please let me know.

Im going to take a look at the information about the ports on cruisecritic cause there are some places that we would like to do on our own.  Have you seen the roll calls on cruise critic?  There are alot of posts of people travelling with us.
