    Maui - overnight

Trying to make excusion plans for our upcoming Hawaii cruise - Spirit.   When you are in Maui port, are you tendered or docked?  Are you able to come an go in either situation throughout the night or get off the boat early morning for a 7 am excusion?

I would like to hear from Carnival staff on this one.  We are taking this cruise on 4/20. I read on another site that initially we would tender but at some point the ship would actually dock for overnight (after the other ships had left the dock).  Then on yet another site I saw where the tenders ran until midnight.  So I am confused and wondering the same thing!!  Thanks!

I posted your question on another Carnival site and got this answer:

The Spirit does not tender in Kahalui, Maui; she is docked at the pier over night and guests are free to come and go as they please. The confusion may come from another sailing date (5/2/08) when the Spirit sails and overnights at Lahaina, Maui- on this sailing the ship tenders and the tenders stop running at 10:30pm.

Do I understand that we can get off as early as we want to (to try to make it to an early private excursion) and the the gangway stays open around the clock?  That would be awesome!
