Hi, I am Brenda and my DH is Joe.  We have both cruised before but this is our first together. We live in San Angelo TX. Between us we have 5 kids (all grown) 1 grandbaby, one dog, 3 grand cats and 2 grand dogs.  I am a Pediatric RN, Joe is co-owner of a local insurance agency.  We love to travel .  We love beaches and warm weather. We are cruising out of Galvestion on the 13th on the Conquest with another couple, Barb and Don.  We plan to become very good monkeyheads.  can't wait.

We are from, and live here in Southwest Michigan.  I’m an Armed Nuclear Security Officer at a Nuclear Plant that is near bye. My wife is a Distribution Manager for Food Tools, that manufactures cutting equipment, and other Food Preparation for food manufactures.  We have been on 2 Cruise’s together. Both were Balcony guarantees.  Our first was when I got out of the Military in 2003 on Conquest we were on Deck 10 Port side forward. Our Second was on Glory In 2007; we were on Deck 7 Port side aft.  Our children will be going on there First Cruise here in September on Legend.  Deck 6 Port side Mid-ship.  The kids and I are really looking forward to it.  The Wife, wanted to go out Utah for this vacation?  But she’s looking forward to it as well.

I have too many hobbies and keep up with only a few of them. This is one “the Carnival Forms at Connections” that I don’t mind keeping up with. Do to having a few minutes here and there to do so at work and at home.  My wife like working on the house, and like me working on the house.  We enjoy movies once in a while and we try and share as much time as we can together. My kids are busy in School and get good Grades but could do better.

There is a lot more but I don’t want to tell you everything I like to keep’em  guessing.

I'll have to say, you had me going with this for a moment.  I wasn't really thinking of the show at first.  My first thoughts were 'how in the world can these people afford to go on cruises with a job like that and the wife staying home'?  LOL

Anyway, good introductions and welcome to the Group!!  I bet that would have been really funny to do live.

Hello - Jill & Bob here.

We are 31 yrs old been married almost (May2nd) 10 years & have two awesome kids - George age 7 and Maria age 4.  We live in Bloomington, MN just a couple blocks away from the Mall of America.  We love Wild hockey (watching a playoff game right now) and the Twins.

We went on our first cruise for our honeymoon - we were only 21 yrs old then and we fell in love with cruising.  Everytime we get off the ship we are wondering when our next cruise will be.  Only 2 weeks until we leave on the Victory - can't wait to drink my 1st monkeyhead beverage.

Thank you MonkeyHeads for making this so much fun - Yipeeeeeee!!

Re: Coconut Monkey Heads-Who are you?

Hey, we're not that far behind you. I'm Karla and my husband is Jerry and we're 47 and 54 respectively. We have kids all the way from age 29 - 10 and 4 (plus another one due in later part of June) grandkids, two cats and one dog. We'll be on the Ecstacy June 5th with both of our daughters and the oldest one's friend. This will be our third cruise, all on Carnival, and will be the second on Ecstacy. We took the Conquest to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel last Thanksgiving and had the best time. What a way to get out of cooking dinner! It was great!

Oldest daughter and friend wanted to swim with dolphins and since we live in east Texas, there just ain't a lot of places nearby. So we talked them into going to Cozumel instead. The cruise was actually cheaper than if they were to fly to Florida and they said they've always wanted to try cruising as well. This will be the second cruise for our 10 year old daughter and she loves it!

I found the Monkeyheads and think this sounds like a blast. I'm going to print out signs for our cabin doors. Daughters and friend will think I'm nuts but so what. Life should be fun! My husband was retired until he began to drive me nuts, and now he works again :) In fact, we both work again so we can afford to cruise. He works for an electrical supply company and I work for the local library. In fact, the company he works for is the reason we began cruising in the first place. He was one of the ones who reached a particular goal and won a cruise :) That was almost three years ago and we've gone once a year since then. I'm what I guess you would call an archivist/genealogist. I do all their digitization and preservation, and try to help people with through their quest for family skeletons.

That's about it. Hope to someday meet other Monkeyheaders :)

Re: Coconut Monkey Heads-Who are you?

My husband and I live in Indiana.  Ron and Tracy!

We have three boys (ages 10-14) and we have been on four Carnival cruises (Elation Dec 2004, Victory Dec 2005, Destiny Oct 2006, Legend (southwest carribean)March 2007).  We did the Norwegian Pearl in March of 2008 and realized that freestyle cruising is not for us -- we much prefer the FUN SHIP!  We now are booked for the LEGEND for November 2008 with my parents -- and can't wait to go on the LEGEND again -- on a different itinerary!

We get asked which cruise is our favorite -- which is IMPOSSIBLE to answer.

We have come up with the perfect answer....

Our favorite cruise is OUR NEXT ONE!

I just discovered the boards, tips, and monkey heads - and can't wait until November to get a monkey head (I always wondered what they were!)
