The staterooms on the Holiday are a great size compared to other cruise lines, if your taking two children i would suggest the two pull downs because they would be much easier to just push up and pull down, not real sure about the roll-a-way, but it doesnt seem very comfortable, the pull downs are the same mattress as the regular beds, so they are still very comfortable.

The Fantasy will replace the Holiday at the end of November. It is a much newer and nicer ship and my husband and I will be on the 2nd cruise it will go on after it reaches Mobile. I think everyone will be very happy with this ship.

I'll be on the same sailing Shiela! I am traveling with a then 7 year old girl. Are you going to have any kids with you? Have you thought about any excursions for Calica? We need to start a roll call thread so we can start talking!

I have slept in both a rollaway and an upper. The upper is much more comfy. Plus, if you're up there, you can throw M & M's or TicTacs down on your cabinmates if you get bored.

We love you Kalyn Padget and Rosie Unsworth (our lovely adopted daughters), Amy Barton, Melanie Therrien, TJ, and Rick! The Fun Crew puts the fun in Carnival Cruising! Thank you Butch for being a fantastic CD!

I've only been off the Holiday for a short time, and I'm already having fits of melancholy. I guess unless we can cruise every two months, I'll probably never be satisfied again.

Our 7 YO and 6 YO grandsons decided that they would prefer a Thanksgiving Cruise to Key West and Cozumel on the Destiny to Thanksgiving in Orlando/Kissimmee this November. We must be teaching them well. Thanks for an excuse for my booking another cruise, guys!

We went on two Norwegian Cruise Line Tramp Steamer Cruises - Thank goodness we were too busy on our honeymoon in 1978 to realize how crummy the cruise actually was - Then they ruined our 2007 Hawaii Cruise that was my retirement gift from my wife - Two chances is enough! - Never again!

Our current future dream cruise is 15 days back-to-back on the Freedom / 8-day Eastern (Fort Lauderdale) and the Valor / 7-day Western (Port of Miami) with a 45 minute private shuttle ride in between the two Fun Ships.

We'll be on the last Fun Ship cruise for the Holiday in November. Enjoy the Fantasy, We're opting for history and nostalgia. It makes Past Guest/Welcome Home Parties so much fun when you can cheer for a ship that is no longer part of the Fun Ship Fleet. I envy those folks who were on the Festivale or the Carnivale.
