    Hotels in San Diego

Does anyone know of a reasonable hotel to stay at in San Diego, close to the port?

    Re: Hotels in San Diego

We're probably too late to halp the original poster, but for future travellers this might help.

There are a number of nice hotels within walking distand of the B Street Pier, from which the cruise lines all depart.  Here's a partial list.

Holiday Inn San Diego on the Bay
    Hampton Inn San Diego Downtown
    Best Western Bayside Inn
    Pacific Inn Hotel and Suites
    Westin San Diego Emerald Plaza

    Hope that's of help, CruzDogg

Can you walk to the terminal, or do we still need to take a cab?

    Thanks,

We are staying at the Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel, which is just north of the SD Airport.  We got a package deal (park and cruise) for $79 a night and free parking for the duration of our hotal stay and entire eight day cruise.  There is also free shuttle service to and from the hotel.

Yes, that's the same hotel we are staying at Best Western yatch - they provide airport shuttle and cruise ship shuttle for free.

The Holiday Day Inn on the Bay is directly across the street from the cruise ship terminal. You can walk from the hotel across the street to the ship.

We live in the east county of San Diego and will stay at this hotel. We have to have a bay view though. We sit on the balcony drinking wine and watching the boats on the bay.

What are the prices for the package?

The price depends on how many nights of parking will be needed.  We also offer shuttle service to the terminal.

We will be taking the Spirit in January and staying one night at the Holiday Inn on the Bay.  We have 3 bayview rooms that (including tax) are $146.00 per night each.

    Jake,

Periodically check the price with any applicable discount you may qualify for. The prices do drop.
