The BIG day has finally arrived. The CARNIVAL SPLENDOR's inaugural ceremony was today, July 10th, and it went off without a hitch. We'll be posting news, photos and video all day so be sure to keep coming back.Here is the exclusive video of CARNIVAL SPLENDOR Godmother Myleene Klass officially naming this spectacular new ship. Senior Cruise Director John Heald handles the introductions before Myleene plays a beautiful song on the piano as the Royal Navy Diver scales the side of the CARNIVAL SPLENDOR and breaks the sparkling wine on her hull. Of course, the crowd goes wild.

This appears to be an awesome ship. We have been on 5 cruises, but this is the first for this Cruise Line and ship. Seven of us going on the 10/17/08 Mediterranean and we are getting very excited.
