Been on many cruises but never Carnival. At 71 I worried about a lot of young kids - our Carnival host in Miami (Jenifer Gulich) conviced me I would have a great cruise. The new ship looks great - the suites look reasonable large the ship looks like a destination rather then the islands.

I cruised on Splendor this weekend and it was amazing, spent friday afternoon in the spa and it is well worth a visit. We paid $35 for a day pass.

My best friend and I booked Carnival Splendor for January to Eastern Caribbean and were quite intrigued by the thermal room and are also wondering if there is any fee to use that.

This will be our 2nd annual cruise with Carnival. Last January, a Western and January 09'an Eastern. Our boys,ages 8 and 3 loved the Freedom ship/ I can't imagine the Splendor being any less. My friend and I are going to experience our first ever cruise on Carnival Splendor we are both really looking forward to our trip. We have been looking at the different things that the spa has to offer, I can't wait to experience the Thermal Room. We are sailing on 30th August and can't wait.

Carnival is not the only way to cruise....but it should be! Isn't Carnival the greatest? Pretty much!!
We are traveling on the splendour January 10, 2009 with a group of 15 rooms. I hope this is as nice as the last 5 (2 with Royal Carribean and 3 with Carnival.) We travel with our staff annually and hope Carnival is able to win us over. It's hard to compete with Royal Carribean. We have 4 children and have had issues with carnival not having the pools open for the children to enjoy. I hope the newer ships will have bigger pool areas for the children. ( Our children are 15, 9, 8 and 3. We love to cruise and hope the pool situation changes. Claudia from Iowa
My fiance and I are booked for our second cruise on June 7th of 2009 for our honeymoon. In 2007 we went on a 5 day carribean. Looking forward to the second time around. This time we are cruising on the Splendor for the 7 day mexican riviera in style with a 9A balcony stateroom. I loved the Imagination and from what I have seen the Splendor will have that plus much more! It will be a honeymoon of a lifetime.
We cruise a lot but our 1st Carnival cruise was last Febuary on the Valor. It was better then we expected. It was good to cruise with a younger crowd (We are early 60's). The entertainment was great. We are now scheduled on the Splendor Aug 18th and looking forward to it.

We have a very special group going on the Splendor, 8 day in November, it will be my 10th but some of our group it will be the 1st. Carnival is the best to break them in. Looking forward to being a part of this great experience. Hope John will be our cruise director, I sailed with him on the Freedom in March of 2007 and enjoyed his humor.
