At long last, the first in a series of digital renderings of the currently-under-construction CARNIVAL DREAM are here. We've decided to post these now so that you can see just how special this upcoming addition to the "Fun Ship" fleet will be.

Here are some of the first things you'll see as you approach and eventually come aboard this, the largest and most innovative ship we've ever built.

Carnival WaterWorks: Our largest water park ever, bringing you more ways to get soaked! Amazing waterslides, kid’s splash park - laughter included.

Ocean Plaza: A comfortable oasis during the day, lively entertainment at night.

Ocean Plaza: This incredible indoor/outdoor area is seperated by a clear glass wall.




The Lanai: Wraparound outdoor area featuring vista-friendly whirlpools

Cloud 9 Spa: Let yourself be pampered at our largest spa ever.



Seaside Theater: Huge open-air screen entertains day & night.

The 130,000-ton Carnival Dream achieved a significant construction milestone when it was “floated out” from its outfitting quay at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. The 3,646-passenger SuperLiner – the largest “Fun Ship” ever constructed – is set to debut in September 2009.  Here are a few of the latest and greatest images of this magnificent ship under construction.

As you can see from the scaffolding CARNIVAL DREAM still has a way to go,
but this is a big step.

The intial stage of a ship's construction takes place in a dry dock facility called the Fincantieri Shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.

The intial construction is complete. Now preparations for her "float out" to a wet dock facility is in the works.

The ship's propellers are complete and ready for the "floating out" process.

Once the exterior outfitting is completed, the dry dock is filled with water and the ship is "floated out" and moved to a wet dock facility where construction continues.

She has arrived at the wet dock facility where the final stages of her construction are underway.
